There were a lot of angry folks on Twitter last night who missed the first half of the World Cup Final.
Throughout the tournament, games have been staged at 5pm and 9pm Irish time - over and over.
Group stages? 5pm and 9pm. Semis? 9pm. World Cup final - 8pm.
Among the confused and irate viewers was rugby superstar Brian O'Driscoll, who blamed his error on his new favourite TV show.
Ah so I see the WC final isn't starting at 9!!! God damn you #Orangeisthenewblack

Oh dear. But BOD wasn't alone in this. Twitter exploded around 9pm with confusion, rage, and general bemusement, We particularly love delayed kick-off man.

Bit annoyed to realise the World Cup kicked off at 8pm not 9pm. Least it seems I've not missed much.
