The Dublin City Triathlon took place yesterday and one participant had to deal with more than just the usual slog.
With 10km left in the cycle, the route took them through Phoenix Park, which has a herd of 500 deer.
And a couple of those deer just so happened to cross their path, with one stag colliding with a cyclist.
Photographer Erik Scraggs was on hand to capture this perfectly-timed snap of the tumble.
RTÉ reports that the cyclist,Shane O'Reilly, managed to get up and carry on and it is thought the deer was also unharmed.

O'Reilly, who is from Blackrock in Dublin, said his now-cracked helmet took the brunt.
"The helmet definitely saved me. Apart from that my shoulder was a bit sore and had a headache."

Could have been a lot worse.
