It has been said deal will either be struck between the Government and IAG on its bid to buy Aer Lingus in the next two weeks - or not at all.

It is understood the airline group has substantially addressed concerns raised over the potential €1.4bn sale of the government's 25% stake.

IAG representatives will meet with the Government's steering group today as the sides continue to tackle outstanding issues.
