The most in demand skill set in Ireland has been found
Cloud and Distributed Computing is the skill most in demand by Irish employers.
New data from online networking site LinkedIn reveals that it's topped the Irish list for the second year in a row and it's also the most in demand skill globally.
Statistical Analysis and Data Mining is again in second place, while Web Architecture and Development moves up three places to take the third spot.
Marketing Campaign Management is a new entry into the top 10 - it's now the 6th most in demand skill.
Senior HR Director with LinkedIn Wendy Murphy, says we're almost matching demand but there's room for improvement:" I would certainly encourage University going students to really think about the tech sector particularly around statistical anaylsis and data mining and that cloud computing area.
"Because those skills they are not just in the tech sector they are right across all industries and in fact for anybody who is interested in that area, LinkedIn is launching this week free 5,000 courses so you can upskill yourself."
