Talks hope to resolve dispute at Rye Valley plant

Talks are to be held to try and resolve a dispute at Rye Valley Foods in Co Monaghan.

Unions have served strike notice on owners Kerry Group after workers were told to take seven days annual leave or face a week's lay-off.

The conglomerate made €350m profit last year.

Negotiations are scheduled for the Great Southern Hotel at Dublin Airport tomorrow afternoon.

Seven hundred people are employed at the plant in Carrickmacross.
