Efforts to preserve over 400 jobs at the Lufthansa aviation company at Rathcoole in Dublin will get underway today.
It comes as workers were called into a meeting with management on Friday-where they were told the company is not viable after running at a loss this year.
In a statement, the firm says it’s considering closure and has started talks with workers.
"The whole point of meeting today is to try and put some flesh on the bones and find out what, actually, the company is proposing, and whether they are willing to look at other possibilities," Karl Byrne, SIPTU Organiser, said ahead of the meeting.
He said the union would be looking at any other options that could be tabled.
