Survey finds Irish are third highest-paid in Europe
01/11/2005 - 08:09:03A survey of earnings throughout Europe has reportedly found that Irish people have the third-highest hourly wages in the EU.
Reports this morning said the EU survey found Irish workers earned an average of €16.20 per hour, lower only than their counterparts in Denmark and Britain.
The reports said staff working for utility companies providing electricity, gas and water supplies were found to be the highest paid in Ireland, while those in the hotel and restaurant sector were lowest-paid.
