Eight out of ten employees in the Irish I.T. sector are male.

Survey: 80% of IT employees are men

Eight out of ten employees in the Irish I.T. sector are male.

That is the startling finding in a new survey from Eurostat.

The figures show that just under 78 per cent of men in the business have a 3rd level Degree, and one in every three is under the age of 35.

Ruth Deasy of the EU office in Dublin says the signs are that the female numbers will rise in the coming years:
