The MD of Starbucks UK is taking action to pay Corporation Tax.
The announcement comes after it emerged the coffee giant paid just 8.6 million in 14 years of trading in Britain.
Boss Kris Engskov said that the firm is going to pay £20 million of Corporation Tax over the next two years.
"Today we are announcing that we are taking action to pay Corporation Tax here in the UK, we are going to do it beyond what the law requires" he said
"And we are going to do it regardless of whether we make a profit in the next two years".
