Standard & Poor's upgrade Irish rating

Standard & Poor's has upgraded Ireland's credit rating to A minus, with a positive outlook.

It is the first A rating for Ireland since our return to the bond markets.

The National Treasury Management Agency has said it underpins the strong investor sentiment towards Ireland and provides a very supportive backdrop fore the remainder of NTMA’s funding programme in 2014.
