Publisher Pearson, which announced the £844m sale of the Financial Times to Japan’s Nikkei on Thursday, has posted half-year results showing sales up 1% to £2.2bn though adjusted operating profits were lower.
The firm said revenues grew on the back higher sales in the US, Brazil and China. Following the FT sale it will now concentrate on its main educational publishing business.
