NIB reports €10m operating losses


National Irish Bank is reporting an operating loss, before impairment charges, of €10m in the first six months of the year.

However costs rose to €74m, because of a one-off provision for costs associated with the reorganisation of the Bank’s retail business, announced in June.

The bank's total loan book now stands at €8.3bn which is down 9% on last year.
