Ratings agency Moody's has this morning downgraded Ireland's credit rating by two levels.
The company saidthe outlook remained bleak for the Irish economy as it moved the rating from Baa1 to Baa3.
Downgrades from ratings agencies can ramp up borrowing costs on financial markets making Ireland's funding problems more difficult to manage.
