Lobby group to promote value of aviation industry

A new aviation lobby has been established to argue for a greater recognition of aviation and its potential to contribute to economic growth.

The new lobby, called "Grounded", has been established by a group of industry observers.

Grounded has said that the key element in its approach to aviation policy will be a recognition that aviation can, if it's allowed to, be the most cost effective catalyst for economic growth.

Grounded hopes to work with interest groups and political parties, including the government parties, to ensure greater awareness of the importance of long term aviation policy.
