Lack of rental cars 'hurting tourism industry'

A new report is today warning that a shortage of rental cars could be holding back our tourism industry.

Ireland's rental fleet has plummeted from 30,000 four years ago to 12,500 this year.

A number of tourism bodies have compiled the report entitled 'Car Rental Fleet Shortages and Tourism in 2010'.

The report claims it is having a negative impact on business for airlines, hotels and tour operators.
