ISEQ up slightly

The ISEQ index of Irish shares gained some ground in morning trading today, climbing 12.23 points to 2,894.97.
Allied Irish Banks inched down 1c to €1.67, but there was better news elsewhere in the financial sector, with Bank of Ireland gaining 4c to €1.71 and Irish Life and Permanent improving 6c to €3.46.
There were some impressive gains. CRH climbed 23c to €17.56. Dragon Oil was 15c better off on €4.68 and Kerry Group was up 10c to €20.50.
Paddy Power (down 19c to €24) and DCC (down 14c to €18.75) both lost ground, however.
