ISEQ up at close
The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed up 56 points to 3,196, a rise of 1.8%.
Among the risers, Petroceltic International added 7.8% to €0.10; Independent News and Media added 7.5% to €0.22; Smurfit Kappa was up 4.5% to €6.54; Kenmare Resources gained 3.85% to €0.59 and CRH added 3.2% to €15.29.
On the fallers' board, Siteserv lost 7.9% to €0.04; Donegal Creameries was down 3% to €3.54; Providence Resources closed down 2.7% to €6.59; FBD shed 1.7% to €8.65 and Elan slipped 1.4% to €10.45.
