ISEQ up as Jury's surges

Dublin's stock exchange closed up 80.66 at 6296.34 today.

The positive charge was lead by Jury's Doyle hotel group who saw their share price climb 80c to €16 as it was reported he board of Jurys Doyle has received a new approach from the Precinct Investments consortium.

Pharmaceutical giant Elan was close behind on a 30c rise to €6.40.

The financials also contributed to the good day, Bank of Ireland and Irish Life & Permanent both added 17c to close at €12.47 and €13.67 respectively.

Anglo Irish Bank recorded a ten-cent rise to €9.60. AIB closed up 19c at €17.04.
