ISEQ stays in the red
17/05/2006 - 17:43:09The ISEQ index of shares plummeted 123.40 points to 7667.33 today.
After gains in recent days, shares at pharmaceutical giant Elan slipped 99c to €12.84.
It was also a bad day for the financials. Shares at AIB were down 41c to €18.19, Anglo Irish was down 22c to €12.43 while Irish Life & Permanent shares slipped 19c to €19.81. Bank of Ireland was also down, but just by 3c to €14.26.
Building materials group CRH was also hit hard today, down 85c to €26 at close of business today.
