The ISEQ-index of Irish shares lost some of its steam this afternoon and finally succumbed to global pressures dropping 6.84 points to 6,490.03.
Low-fares airline Ryanair has yet to see reaction to news that it is to hike baggage and check-in charges as it continued its drive for passengers to carry hand luggage and use online services.
For all bookings made from today, the airline's checked-in baggage fee will increase from €6 to €9 per bag and the airport check-in fee will increase from €3 to €4.
Ryanair warned they will not be the last such price rises as the airline tries to persuade at least half of all passengers to travel with just hand baggage and check-in via the web.
The company's stocks stood at €4 by close today.
