ISEQ down in morning trading

The ISEQ index of Irish shares was down 17 points this morning to 2,603.52 by 11.15am.

There was mixed news for the financial heavyweights; AIB dropped 5c to €1.84 with Bank of Ireland remaining static at 90c per share. Anglo Irish Bank had a slight drop of 2c to 23c and Irish Life and Permanent had the most positive morning jumping 10c to €1.95.

Elsewhere, the negative trend continued within the construction sector; CRH was hit hardest falling 36c to €19.79. Kingspan fell 10c to €3.20 with Grafton down 9c to €2.40. McInerney dropped a modest 1c off its share price to 18c.
