ISEQ down 22.50 points

The ISEQ index of Irish shares lost 22.50 points to 3,022.37 points by noon today, reflecting work trends.
The financials all lost ground, in keeping with the fall of banking shares throughout the world. Bank of Ireland was the heaviest faller, sinking 11c to €1.34. Allied Irish Banks shed 9c to €1.34, with Irish Life and Permanent slipping 4c to €3.46.
The biggest fall of the day came for Kerry Group, which plunged 40c to €21.95. DCC (down 27c to €19.82) and CRH (down 11c to €17.70) and FBD (down 10c to €6.40) also declined.
There was some good news however, with Elan climbing 16c to €5.60, with Tullow Oil gaining 10c to €14.70.
