The website launches with approximately 60,000 properties covering every major city and town in Poland.

Daft.pl hopes to benefit from the positive brand recognition of Daft.ie amongst the hundreds of thousands of Polish people who came to work and live in Ireland during the last 10 years.

The Polish market it is approximately 10 times larger than the Irish market with a population of 38 million.

Internet penetration in Poland is slightly behind Ireland at 52% versus 66% but the market for online advertising is growing at a faster rate in Poland. According to the Interactive Advertising Bureau in Poland, the market doubles in size every 12 months.

The Daft.pl website has been fully localised into Polish and offers all the functionality of Daft.ie. Daft.pl already has 60,000 properties available for sale or rent in Poland, and is adding 10,000 new listings every day.

Commenting on the launch, Judyta Holubowicz, business unit manager, Daft.pl said: “We see this expansion into Poland as being a very positive move for Daft. There is so much potential in this market and we hope to build on the strong link that exists between Ireland and Poland.
