The level of deposits in Irish banks is continuing to rise.
New figures show deposits increased in July by €1.5bn to just more than €154bn.
The rate hit a low point in July of last year, when the level of deposits fell to €140bn.
The Department of Finance said that it shows that confidence in the strength of the Irish banking system after its re-capitalisation last year.
