Holidaymakers find contact from work 'more stressful than bungee jump'

Irish holidaymakers say a call or email from their boss while they're away is more stressful than a bungee jump.

Some 84% of Irish people say they have been contacted by work while on holiday.

The top five stressful situations for holidaymakers are: a call from the boss, a bungee jump, a fight with a partner, car breakdown and being stuck in a traffic jam.

The research by lastminute.com also revealed that it took a third of people over four hours to wind down and get back into holiday mode after being interrupted by work.
