Hibernian Direct links with VIVAS to offer health insurance

Insurance provider Hibernian Direct is to offer a health insurance plan to its customers in partnership with VIVAS Health, it was announced today.

Insurance provider Hibernian Direct is to offer a health insurance plan to its customers in partnership with VIVAS Health, it was announced today.

The insurance will be sold under the brand name Hibernian Health Plan will be available on a pilot basis from today for six months to customers in Hibernian branches.

“Hibernian Direct offers its customers an expanding range of products and services including home, motor, travel, mortgage, personal loans, life and pensions and is now pleased to offer an exciting and competitive health insurance product which will be underwritten by Vivas Health,” said Hibernian Direct director Mary Cregan.

Commenting on the initiative Oliver Tattan, Chief Executive, VIVAS Health said: “This partnership with Hibernian Direct is another example of the innovative approach that VIVAS Health brings to the market. We are very pleased to partner with Hibernian Direct in order to bring the benefits of the VIVAS Health proposition to an even larger audience. ”

The Hibernian Health Plan includes hospital cover, maternity benefits, out patient benefits, A&E abroad and comprehensive cover for scans.

It also includes cover for all inpatient costs in 122 hospitals and treatment centres. It offers a direct settlement agreement with all private and public hospitals ensuring patient bills are paid directly to the hospital.
