The Government has announced €3.9m in funding to support 36 new research jobs.

The scheme is being rolled out through the Irish Research Council's Employment Based Programme over the next four years.

The programme supports the enterprise sector in creating employment opportunities for early-stage researchers.

The research partnerships will be in the areas of cloud computing, cybersecurity, and sports performance, among others.
