FBD and financials pull ISEQ upwards

Insurance group FBD made the greatest gain, up 65c (2.5%) to €26.50.
Anglo Irish Bank was up 10c (1%) at €10.10. Irish Life and Permanent rose 14c to €14.40.
Bank of Ireland made a gain of 9c to €13.07, while AIB, the morning’s busiest share, rose 8c to €18.05.
Construction company Kingspan lost 21c (2.1%) to €9.79. CRH gained 11c to €21.59.
Food company IAWS dropped 23c (1.9%) to €11.62, while C&C was up 5c (1.4%) to €3.75. C&C will announce results for the first half of this year on October 11.
