Lombard axing more than 100 jobs
01/12/2009 - 15:46:16Finance company Lombard Ireland are cutting more than 100 jobs north and south of the border.
Eighty-four of the redundancies will take place at the company's offices in the Republic of Ireland, with 24 job losses at the company's northern operations.
The IBOA finance union is asking management to consider alternatives and for any redundancies to be on a voluntary basis.
It also said the decision is further evidence of the continuing haemorrhage in the financial services sector in Ireland.
