Passenger traffic through Dublin airport is up.
Almost 6.8 million passengers have used the airport in the first four months of the year, an increase of 17% over the same period last year.
Almost 2,300 flights will arrive and depart this June Bank Holiday, which is expected to be the busiest weekend of the year so far, with many people travelling to sunnier climes.
Siobhán O'Donnell from the Dublin Airport Authority says things are looking up for the tourism sector.
"The upturn in the economy is very evident at Dublin Airport," she said. "Passenger traffic is already up 15%. The most popular destinations are Lanzarote, Portugal and Greece."
