Domino's warns of rising Pizza costs in UK

Delivery firm Domino’s Pizza today warned that pizza prices were set to rise amid soaring costs of mozzarella cheese and flour.

The group said it had seen the cost of mozzarella rocket by more than £1,000 (€1,440) a tonne since June after it was forced to switch suppliers at a time when dairy product prices have been rising.

Domino’s said some its franchise network had already increased menu prices, but added expected hikes in flour costs next year would see prices rise on average by between 3% and 3.5%.
