Ireland’s largest hotel group, Dalata is to take over operations at Dublin's former Burlingtonm Hotel in Ballsbridge.

The hotel will operate under their Clayton Hotel Brand and will be known as Clayton Hotel Burlington Road. The hotel, which is still remembered by many as ‘The Burlington’, has more recently been operated by Hilton under their DoubleTree brand.

Speaking about the announcement Pat McCann, CEO of Dalata Hotel Group, said: "We are excited that Clayton Hotel Burlington Road becomes part of our portfolio from today and look forward to fully integrating this fine property to the Dalata family.

"This hotel will be integral to our efforts to grow and strengthen our Clayton brand."

Dalata Hotel Group operates 40 three- and four-star hotels with over 7,500 rooms.

Dalata successfully operate Ireland’s two largest hotel brands - the Clayton and the Maldron Hotels - across Ireland and the UK, as well as managing a portfolio of partner hotels.

In December, Dalata will rebrand the Clarion Hotels in Sligo, Limerick and Cork to Clayton Hotels which will add over 1,000 rooms to its portfolio.
