DAA reports rise in passenger numbers

The number of people travelling through Dublin Airport continues to rise, according to the Dublin Airport Authority (DAA).

The number of people travelling through Dublin Airport continues to rise, according to the Dublin Airport Authority (DAA).

Just less than 1.6 million passengers used the facility in April, an increase of 1% on the same period last year.

Passenger volumes to and from continental Europe rose by 3%, while UK traffic fell by the same amount.

Transatlantic numbers were also up, while other international traffic, to places like the Middle East and North Africa, increased by 68%.
