The value of Ireland's exports jumped 15% in May.
Figures from the CSO show more than €7.8bn worth of goods was sent abroad in the month, that is a rise of more than a billion euro.
It also marks an annual increase of 9%.
Experts say it is down to a combination of a jump of 14% in the value of organic chemicals that are exported, and 12% in medical and pharmaceutical products.
