Construction firm owner on board for Cork Chamber

The owner of one of the country’s leading construction organisations has been appointed to the board of Cork Chamber of Commerce, according to the Evening Echo.

John Bowen heads Bowen Construction, a firm that has 1,000 employees with annual revenues in excess of €230m.

Established in 1968, Bowen Construction Ltd is a diversified, full-service building and civil engineering contractor.

Brian Cremin, area manager for the south west region with permanent tsb, and Mark Whitaker, managing director of the Johnson & Perrott Motor Group, have also been appointed to the board.

Both have equally impressive track records in business and in support of the work of the Chamber.

Chamber president Roger Flack said the three would bring a wealth of experience which would strengthen and enhance Chamber services to the business community.
