BOI shareholders vote on NAMA participation

Bank of Ireland shareholders have voted on whether or not to participate in the Government's bank rescue plan NAMA.

The results will be known after the markets close this evening.

A special EGM in Dublin heard repeated calls from shareholders for the bank to support a public inquiry into the banking meltdown.

There were also outbursts from angry shareholders demanding more resignations at the bank.
