BoI shareholders gather to vote on NAMA

Bank of Ireland shareholders are gathering in Dublin to vote on a proposal to sign up to the Government's NAMA plan.

The EGM is also expected to hear calls from angry shareholders for the Government to support a public inquiry into the banking crash.

If the bank approves entry into NAMA today, the bad loans from the bank's balance sheet will be transferred over to the National Asset Management Agency.
