BoI head to take leave for cancer treatment

Richie Boucher, Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Ireland Group, has informed his colleagues at Bank of Ireland that he will be taking leave to undergo medical treatment in August for colon cancer.

Richie Boucher, Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Ireland Group, has informed his colleagues at Bank of Ireland that he will be taking leave to undergo medical treatment in August for colon cancer.

Mr Boucher said during the course of a routine medical check up, an early stage 1 cancerous polyp was identified.

He said he is confident his short absence will not adversely impact on the strong progress Bank of Ireland group are making.
