An Post turns €2.2m profit
An Post turned a profit last year, despite its on-going financial difficulties.
It reported a turnover of €807m for 2011 and a group operating profit of €2.2m.
An Post said it also achieved more than €15m in cost savings through a voluntary exit scheme for 300 staff, reduced overtime, more efficient working arrangements and the increase use of automated mail processing systems.
