The Cork to Glasgow route grew significantly last month, by 36% year-on-year. Passenger numbers were boosted by the Ireland v Scotland UEFA Euro 2016 qualifier.
Aer Lingus Regional’s Kerry to Dublin route also experienced its ninth consecutive month of growth, rising 22% year-on-year, and contributed to an increase in connecting flights from Dublin’s transatlantic hub to North America.
The Dublin to Newcastle route grew 20% year-on-year, while the airline’s new Dublin to Leeds Bradford route completed a successful first month of service, flying 4,400 passengers.
Simon Fagan, Chief Commercial Officer at Stobart Air, said the airline was “pleased to have maintained momentum throughout the year”.
He said: "We are very proud of our seventeenth month of growth. It demonstrates that our reliable, efficient services to key regional centres across the UK and Ireland continue to resonate with our passengers.
"In particular, our growth at Cork highlights our commitment to the airport and the region."
