Aer Lingus passenger numbers up 3% in July

Aer Lingus' passenger numbers were 1,105,000 in July, an increase of 3% on July 2010.

Aer Lingus' passenger numbers were 1,105,000 in July, an increase of 3% on July 2010.

Short-haul passengers in the month were 931,000, a 1.1% increase on July 2010. Long-haul numbers were 96,000, a 3% decrease on the same month last year.

Meanwhile Regionals passenger numbers were up 47.2% to 78,000.

Load factor for the month, or the number of passengers booked as a percentage of seats available, fell by 1.1 points on July 2010 to 84.7%.
