Aer Lingus passenger numbers on the up

Aer Lingus has reported an increase in passenger traffic in January.

Total traffic for the month, including Aer Lingus Regional, was up 2%, compared to January 2013, to 651,000 passengers.

Aer Lingus long haul passengers increased by 7.3% from 55,000 to 59,000, while short haul passenger numbers were down 1% to 513,000.

The overall passenger load factor improved by 1.9 percentage points to 66.5 in January of this year.
