Aer Lingus has announced its traffic statistics for the month of April 2015.

The overall passenger load factor for the month was up 2.4 percentage points to 78.2%.

Short haul load factor increased 2.6 percentage points to 76.8%, while long haul load factor increased by 2 percentage points to 79.9%.

The total number of passengers carried during the month of April 2015 was 923,000, including Aer Lingus Regional passengers. This figure was down 5.2% compared to 974,000 passengers in April 2014.

Long haul traffic continued to increase, up 1.8% to 113,000 passengers in April 2015 compared to 111,000 in the same month in 2014.

Short haul traffic for April 2015 was down 5.5%, with 710,000 short haul passengers carried compared to 751,000 in April 2014.
