There has been a 9 % increase in passenger numbers for Aer Lingus Regional which is operated by the newly named Stobart Air.

There has been a 9 % increase in passenger numbers for Aer Lingus Regional which is operated by the newly named Stobart Air.

Some 94, 242 passengers flew with the company in March.

Passenger figures on the Kerry to Dublin route were up. It saw a strong increase of 14% last month compared to the same period last year.

Commercial officer with Stobart Air Simon Fagan said there had been consistent growth in recent months.

"It's actually our ninth consecutive month of growth," he said, adding the figures were particularly strong in Dublin, where passenger numbers were up 27%.
