125 new jobs have come on stream at an Irish medical devices company.
Vistamed, which has plants in Roscommon and Leitrim, has confirmed a 7-million euro investment in the company's Rooskey and Carrick-on-Shannon plants.
Jobs Minister Richard Bruton made the announcement in Leitrim, where he is opening Vistamed's new catheter manufacturing facility.
76 jobs have already been filled while recruitment for the remaining 50 is expected to be complete by the end of the year.
"We're looking for a range of staff - from engineers, research and development, design, production -[and] also general operatives as well to come and help us build these devices," said Business Development Manager Johnny Goodwin, speaking to Midwest News.
