Twenty-hour hunt for parrot ends in rescue of owner

Firefighters have rescued a US man after he got stuck in a tree trying to save his parrot.
Dave Lovell, of New Jersey, spent 20 hours trying to find his macaw Sinbad before finally spotting the bird in a tree one block away.
But when Dave climbed the tree via a 20-foot ladder he was unable to get back down and neighbours were forced to call 911 to get him some help.
Following the rescue, Dave refused medical treatment and admitted he risked his life because he "loves" his animals.
He said: “Now that my feet are on the ground, I’m feeling OK. I love my animals."
