Reverend to hold services in fast food chain

A British vicar has started holding sermons in McDonald's.

Rev. Richard Barron is set to spend each Friday afternoon in the fast food restaurant in Greenhithe, Kent, to "find new ways for people to connect with the church".

He said: "As far as I know, I am the first vicar to hold sessions in McDonald's.

"There are lots of schoolchildren about and they ask the big questions that maybe adults shy away from, such as does God exist?"

Manager of the branch Maxine Hunt said the agreement is beneficial for the restaurant and the reverend.

She said: "It is a nice little relationship and it works well on both sides."
