An elephant beauty contest has been held in Nepal.
A total of 90 of the huge beasts took part in the spectacle at Chitwan National Park, which saw the mammals scored by a panel of five judges and the three high scorers advanced to the final of the competition, ITN News reports.
They were judged on their headdresses, cleanliness, personality and temperaments, and a number of the elephants had their toenails painted in an attempt to gain a better score.
