Thurles to stage qualifier triple-header

The two All-Ireland SHC third phase qualifier ties - Wexford v Cork and Limerick v Clare - will be part of a triple header of matches at Semple Stadium next Saturday.

GAA President Liam O'Neill and former Dublin dual star Shane Ryan made the pairings during this morning's third phase draw, which was broadcast live on TV3.

GAA fans travelling to Thurles will have the opportunity to watch two make-or-break hurling clashes along with the All-Ireland SFC second round qualifier between Tipperary and Wexford.

The football game has been moved forward to a 3pm throw-in time, with Wexford meeting Cork at 5pm and the Limerick-Clare Munster derby topping the bill at 7pm.

There has also been a time change for the All-Ireland SFC second round qualifier between Longford and Limerick on Saturday.

The action at Pearse Park will get underway at the earlier time of 2pm in order to accommodate any Limerick supporters who want to watch the county's hurlers play in Thurles later in the day.
