Justice Minister to appear before Oireachtas Committee

Justice Minister Alan Shatter will appear before an Oireachtas Committee today to discuss a number of issues, including the transfer of passenger name records.
Minister Shatter will answer the committee's question about the agreement between the EU and the US, which was struck last month in Brussels.
It will see the personal details of everyone who flies to the US from the EU handed over to American intelligence agencies for up to 15 years, in a bid to tackle terrorism.
Among the other items on today's agenda will be a report into the deaths of three soldiers in the Lebanon in 1989, and the issue of Reserve Defence Forces.
